Heavy Is The Head CD Stormzy
Heavy Is the Head will arrive on 13 December. The album also features additional vocals from some of the most exciting musicians of this generation - all of whom have been hand-picked by Stormzy including: Ed Sheeran, H.E.R., Burna Boy, YEBBA, and Aitch, Headie One, Tiana Major9 with production from Fred Gibson, Fraser T Smith, T-Minus and others. News of Stormzy's second album comes after he scooped the Best Video Award for his track 'Vossi Bop' at the UK Music Video Awards.
Dubbed Heavy Is The Head, the UK superstar's forthcoming LP will serve as his second overall studio album and the follow-up to 2017's Gang Signs & Prayer. Stormzy will soon be going on a world tour to support his upcoming album, Heavy Is The Head. Stormzy has just unveiled the full details for his long-awaited follow up to ‘Gang Signs and Prayer', ‘Heavy Is The Head'.
The title ‘Heavy Is The Head' is also a lyric taken from ‘Crown', while the artwork sees him looking wistfully at the Banksy-designed bulletproof vest he wore during his Glastonbury 2019 headline set. UK legend Stormzy has finally given us the details for his long awaited second album, titled Heavy Is The Head. Heavy Is The Head marks a hugely exciting return for the multi award-winning phenomenon and is a record which has been executively produced entirely by Stormzy himself; showcasing his world class lyricism and musicality alongside many of his celebrated and relatable subject matters.
Heavy Is The Head is out Friday, 13th December. Stormzy, real name Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., debuted at Number one on the Official Albums Chart in 2017 and won Album Of The Year at the Brit Awards in 2018. On the album cover, we see Stormzy looking down at a stab-proof vest with a Union Jack on it — presumably the same one he wore during his headline set at last summer's Glastonbury.
A long-time friend of Stormzy's, they've released music together before and this time team up with Afrofusion pioneer Burna Boy on the track Own It. In fact, a video for the song has just been released — check it out below. Stormzy's debut album went to number one and has since been certified platinum. Stormzy has announced details of his new album, called Heavy Is The Head.
