Stormzy Announces Second Album ‘Heavy Is The Head', Shares Full Tracklist
Stormzy's sophmore record Heavy Is The Head drops tomorrow. STORMZY'S ex-girlfriend could feel a pang of heartache if she listens to his new album. Now Stormzy's confirmed the follow-up, the 16-track Heavy Is The Head. The album also features additional vocals from some of the most exciting musicians of this generation - all of whom have been hand-picked by Stormzy - including, (in alphabetical order) Aitch, Burna Boy, Ed Sheeran, Headie One, H.E.R., Tiana Major9 and YEBBA with production from Fred Gibson, Fraser T Smith, T-Minus and others.
Since then, Stormzy has gone from strength to strength, winning countless awards, delivering an iconic headline performance at Glastonbury , and being named of one of TIME Magazine's ‘Next Generation Leaders'. Pre-ordering ‘Heavy Is The Head' from Stormzy's official store, will allow those in the UK and Ireland to gain early access to tickets. The tour takes its name from Stormzy's forthcoming album, ‘Heavy Is The Head' which marks a highly anticipated return for the 2019 Glastonbury headliner.
Heavy Is The Head follows up his highly acclaimed 2017 debut album Gang Signs & Prayer, and will be released a couple weeks before Christmas. Here's everything we know about Stormzy's new album. It's been two years since Stormzy released the critical and commercial smash Gang Signs & Prayer, but it feels like a lifetime ago. Earlier this year Stormzy headlined Glastonbury, becoming the first black British male artist to do so. More recently he made headlines when he criticised British politician Jacob Rees-Mogg, calling the Conservative an "actual piece of shit" for insensitive comments he made about victims of the Grenfell disaster.
